If we continue with leaders who’s ONLY focus is economic development and bold growth, then our vital resources such as clean water and clean air will start to fade away.
Not that all development is wrong, but with sustainable practices being available RIGHT NOW, there is no reason our government cannot guide our economy in the direction of sustainability. I happen to think there will be greater profits to be gained in the long run for builders that do use resources wisely. As commodities prices increase, the efficient use of them becomes more and more valuable. The builders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow will be many steps ahead of the unstoppable trend by employing green building and sustainable business practices right NOW.
